Marybeth Gregg of the Gregg Resource Group to be Featured on CUTV News Radio

SEA GIRT, NEW JERSEY, UNITED STATES, January 2, 2018 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Leadership is not just a job title; it's way more than that. Leadership is about how you develop people to improve their skills to help them reach their fullest potential, move ahead and have a greater impact.

“Companies are now recognizing it's not about being the boss or the manager. It's really about true leadership and getting people excited about what they do so the organization can achieve their best vision and goals.” says Marybeth Gregg. “And I think that's the challenge for leaders: taking people beyond where they think they can even be. If you want your organization to move ahead and effectively navigate this transition, it starts with the leader.”

Marybeth Gregg is the founder of the Gregg Resource Group, specializing in navigating organizational change through leadership development.

“I provide services to companies who are in transition and want to grow, but my client is pretty much always the CEO,” says Gregg. “The top sets the tone. It really is about being a role model. People are always watching what you're doing, not just what you are saying. If you want change in your organization, you have to show, and be that change.”

Gregg says when companies want to grow, the obstacles most of the time center around people issues.

“I'm convinced people want to be good leaders, they just don't know how,” says Gregg. “We’re often so focused on what we're doing that we're not really paying attention to the effect of our communications on that other person. I work around active listening and communications which helps creativity. This can make a really big difference for how companies can push the envelope and develop new ideas for the intense business environment we are in.”

Still, says Gregg, improving communication and creativity requires that a leader effectively convey their vision.

“If you want to have high-performing teams, you as a leader have to model those behaviors,” says Gregg. “It's not what you say, it's what you do. So it really is about having expectations that push people outside of their comfort zones so everyone succeeds.”

CUTV News Radio will feature Marybeth Gregg in an interview with Jim Masters on January 3rd at 1pm EST.
