Meribel Ski Resort France - a Free 6 Day skiing Guide For All New Visitors

France has banned free ski guiding by all Uk holiday companies. So Rob Smart of Meribel - Unplugged has created his own pocket size & free 6 day ski guide.

I found Rob Smart's 6 day ski guide really useful on my first trip last season to Meribel . Not only did I get 6 days of wonderful days skiing but also enjoyed some wonderful lunches to boot.”

LONDON, UK, November 2, 2017 /EINPresswire.com/ -- New visitors to ski resorts in France can no longer use the services of the free ski guides, previously organised by many UK chalet operators in the French Alps.
The only people allowed to lead you around the mountains this season are qualified instructors or qualified mountain guides.
So, Rob Smart, the editor of the Meribel Unplugged web site has come up with a great idea. He has created his own pocket size 6-day ski guide to the Trois Vallees. As most skiers purchase a 6-day ski pass his guide should prove perfect for most. A fuller version of it, with photos, can also be found on his web site www.meribel-unplugged.co.uk
This very informative guide gives you a choice of 6 different daily routes throughout the 3 valleys, and includes Meribel, Courchevel, St Martin de Belleville, Les Menuires and Val Thorens.
Not only does it explain which lifts to take, how long each section of your trip will take, but also adds in a review of some of the best value Meribel restaurants.
Each day’s ski route is timed perfectly for your arrival at a choice of suitable restaurants for lunch. He knows all of the routes mentioned and judging by his personal reviews it seems that he also knows all the restaurants well!
Rob is 70’ years old, and has been skiing in Meribel & the 3 Valleys for 30 seasons, both on and off piste. He does however exclude his favourite off piste routes for safety reasons.
All 6 days itineraries are strictly on piste, mainly blues with some reds thrown in for good measure. He thinks the guide will be of most benefit to intermediate skiers especially if it is their first time in Meribel.
Each day’s skiing is also scheduled to end about 4pm, just in time for après ski, of which Meribel is truly famous of course. His favourite choices include the famous Rond Point, spiritual home of “Toffee Vodka”. It also happens to be where the band “The Feeling” previously know as “Superfly” got started in big way back in the 90’s. Others include Jacks Bar, down at Chaudanne and LDV in Meribel Village. All feature live bands most days.
It does seem that Rob has covered all that a new to Meribel skier needs for a full on 6-day experience on the mountains of the 3 Valleys.
