The Food and Drink Federation (FDF) will host its annual nutrition event on the 2nd November 2017 under the theme of Tackling the Health Challenge.

The event will be split into three sections; The Reformulation Challenge, Health Beyond Sugar and Talking to the Consumer, providing expert opinion on the wide range of health issues affecting the food and drink industry.

The packed agenda addresses everything from sugar reduction through to consumer behaviour changes. It also features presentations and panel discussions with a range of leading industry figureheads and food and drink manufacturers.

The event will be chaired by FDF’s Nutrition and Health Manager Kate Halliwell, and include an address by Public Health England’s National Director of Diet, Nutrition and Obesity, Dr Alison Tedstone.

  • The dietary concerns beyond sugar in the UK and what this means for food producers
  • Extended restrictions on marketing to children that came into force in 2017
