Gazpromneft Marine Bunker sees 16-percent year-on-year increase in sales of marine fuels in North–West Russia

Positive growth in the bunkering market in the North—West Region is the result of the active development of the Northern Sea Route. In Murmansk, in particular — the main port providing fuel to Arctic vessels — Gazpromneft Marine Bunker has increased deliveries by a factor of 2.2, to 133,200 tonnes.
At those Baltic ports at which the company has a presence, and which are subject to environmental limitations on sulphur levels in marine fuels — St Petersburg, Ust-Luga, and Primorsk — Gazprom Neft Marine Bunker has achieved sales of 72,400 tonnes of ultra-low-sulphur fuels, exceeding H1 2016 sales by 24 percent.
Gazpromneft Marine Bunker CEO Andrei Vasiliev commented: “The main vector in the company’s development today, under rapidly changing market conditions, for us concerns improving business efficiency.
