LAKE KATRINE, NEW YORK, USA, June 26, 2017 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Kingston, NY, June 5, 2017 Dr. Sarah Oshman www.thedentistsoffice.com part of http://www.dentalcarealliance.net now offers the FDA-cleared LANAP protocol to treat gum disease and LAPIP protocol for ailing dental implants in the Hudson Valley of New York. Dr. Oshman is on the forefront of True Regeneration, with a minimally invasive laser procedure to help patients suffering from gum disease.

“Too many patients put off definitive treatment for gum disease out of fear of traditional surgery, until it has progressed to a severe stage with significant bone loss. These patients are in danger of losing their teeth. That’s irreversible damage,” states Dr. Oshman. “Now, with the LANAP protocol, I can offer my patients definitive treatment in the early stages of periodontal disease, treating gum disease swiftly and comfortably before it progresses.”

Training on the LANAP protocol was recently integrated into the esteemed Rutgers School of Dental Medicine, where Dr. Oshman underwent her general dentistry training. She graduated with her advanced degree in Periodontics from NYU College of Dentistry in 2016.

“We have a huge advantage in treating gum disease,” remarks Dr. Oshman. “Using the LANAP protocol avoids ’piano teeth’ that were common with traditional periodontal surgery. We can treat periodontal disease in aesthetic areas without the unaesthetic consequences of black triangles, yellow root exposure, and elongated teeth. Further, the LANAP protocol creates an environment for healing by eliminating the bacteria and stabilizing the dentition in ways I did not previously think was possible.”

LANAP treatment targets the source of the inflammation without hurting or removing any healthy gum tissue to slow or stop attachment loss, decrease pocket depth, and allow the body to recover from the chronic infection without the need for scalpel or sutures.

As specialists in dental implant therapy and the treatment of gum disease, adding the LANAP protocol as a minimally invasive regenerative treatment demonstrates their commitment to state-of-the-art care. The LANAP protocol can be performed in as little as one treatment session, and is safe with patients with health concerns such as diabetes, heart disease, and hemophilia. It is the only laser gum disease treatment FDA cleared to regenerate the bone and tissues lost to gum disease.
