New Managing Director Appointed to Lead ATCO's Australian Operations

/EINPresswire.com/ -- PERTH, WESTERN AUSTRALIA--(Marketwired - Jun 6, 2017) - ATCO will continue its long-term growth strategy in Australia under the guidance of newly appointed Managing Director & Chief Operating Officer, Pat Creaghan, following the retirement of Bobbi Lambright after more than 30 years with the company, the past two of which have been in Perth.

Chief Strategy Officer, ATCO Ltd. & Canadian Utilities Limited and President, Canadian Utilities Limited, Siegfried Kiefer, praised Ms Lambright's outstanding career and welcomed Mr Creaghan's appointment, confident that the knowledge and strong relationships ATCO has built over more than 55 years of operation in Australia will continue to flourish.

Mr Creaghan transitioned into the role on 1 June 2017, and now has overall accountability for ATCO's Australian operations, including Western Australia's largest natural gas distribution business and two natural-gas fired power stations. He will relocate to Perth from Calgary, Alberta where he most recently served as ATCO's Senior Vice President, Corporate Development.

Mr Creaghan joined ATCO in 2011 and has played a key role in the transformation and growth of the company's energy storage and industrial water lines of business. His midstream and downstream knowledge is complemented by a long and successful career in the oil and gas industry with the Royal Dutch Shell Group in North America, including Vice President, Shell Canada.
