NEW YORK (May 17, 2017) – ALPFA, the Association of Latino Professionals For America, the largest organization serving Latino professionals and students, joins media partner Fortune Magazine to celebrate the 50 Most Powerful Latinas (MPL) in corporate America at Columbia University on May 20th, 2017.

The Top 50 Most Powerful Latinas list was announced on March 14th, 2017 by Fortune Magazine. The names include: Geisha Williams, CEO and President, PG&E Corporation, Maria Moats, U.S. Assurance Leader, PwC, and Gabriella (Gabby) Franco Parcella, Chairman, President and CEO, Mellon Capital (BNY Mellon Corp). The MPL Summit (by invitation only) focuses on leading with purpose, both at the personal and corporate level. The day long Summit convenes 150 of the most powerful Latinas in corporate America.

Following the Summit, ALPFA will host a dinner at Columbia University’s Low Memorial Library, where award winning singer-songwriter Morley will release a new song with a quartet of New York’s top Latina musicians. ALPFA is presenting its Distinguished Service Award to Sylvia Acevedo, interim-CEO, Girls Scouts USA and to Evelyn Sanguinetti, Lt. Governor of Illinois. This award is given to Latino leaders who are making a significant impact on the culture and life of America.
