The event will bring together senior military personnel as well as Program Managers and Heads of Surface/Underwater Warfare to discuss the acceleration of the use of maritime robotic systems.

The event will feature eighteen presentations, two panel discussions, over 5 hours of networking time and a pre-conference interactive workshop. The full three days will cover a variety of unmanned systems and aspects including UUVs, USVs, UAVs, ASW, ASuW and UWW. Other topics which will be discussed include: Exercise Unmanned Warrior, future naval operations, mine warfare, manned-unmanned teaming, the role of NATO, off board sensor systems, hydrography, oceanography the blue economy and more.

Running alongside the two day event will be the pre-conference workshop hosted by Nick Lambert Associates Ltd on ‘Tackling the Issues Surrounding Situational Awareness Systems’.

One of the events keynote speakers Admiral (ret.) Sir George Zambellas, former First Sea Lord of the Royal Navy, spoke with Defense & Aerospace Editor Vago Muradian at Sea-Air-Space 2017. He recently said* “It’s all about understanding the underwater domain. It’s a very expensive domain to dominate. Through technology innovation we are going to reduce the cost of the understanding of the underwater domain through small and innovative companies sharing data. This is why the advent of Unmanned Warrior last year and Information Warrior this year is all about reshaping the opportunity.”

Attendees will be given the opportunity to hear from Admiral Zambellas at the event and learn how other nations are developing data sharing in underwater and other maritime environments.
