STATEN ISLAND, NY, UNITED STATES, April 25, 2017 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Catholic Charities of Staten Island along with Presenting Sponsor Shop Rite will host its Second Annual Food Truck Festival at The Mount on Saturday, June 24th and Sunday, June 25th from noon-8pm both days. This year’s event will feature a stage with live musical performances, beer and sangria gardens, as well as several renowned food trucks that will be making their first appearance at a Staten Island event.

“Last year’s event was a great success,” said Vincent Ignizio CEO of Catholic Charities of Staten Island. “Because of that, we were able to make this year’s festival even bigger to include a stage with live music, and more food options for everyone to enjoy.”

This year’s lineup will feature several renowned trucks who will be making their way to the island for the first time such as Desi Food Truck, Kona Ice, Pompier Food Truck, Gorilla Cheese NYC, and KimChi Tacos, as well as fan favorites from last year including Maddaleenas Cheesecake, Coney Island Pizza, and of course Staten Island’s own Mac Truck, John’s Catering, and I Got Balls. Giovanni’s Trattoria will also be serving up its homemade sangria, and Montalbano’s of Rosebank will be unveiling its new food truck for the first time anywhere that weekend. Additional trucks are being confirmed each day and will be announced across social media and the event website.

Event organizers are also actively seeking local musicians and bands who are interested in performing. Musical talent should visit the event website for the requirements and to submit an official application.

Tickets are currently available at the online box office and are a $5 donation for admission. Children 10 and under are free. Parking passes to the event are also available for a $5 donation. Proceeds raised form this event will benefit programs at Mount Loretto. You may also enter to win free event tickets by texting the word “MOUNT” to the number 313131.
