On 18 February, the futsal tournament Gazprom International Cup 2017 took place for the first time in Saint Petersburg at the Zenit Winter Games Palace. The participants were the employees of the companies and the partners of Gazprom Group. The event was organized by Gazprom International.

Rossiya Bank team won the tournament, outplaying Gazprom Neft corporate team in the final with a result of 5:4 after a penalty shootout (0:0 after full-time). 

Gazprom Transgaz Saint Petersburg team won the bronze prize by beating Gazprom Invest team.

The tournament hosted teams from Gazprom, Gazprom Export, Gazprom Neft Shelf, SOGAZ Insurance Group, FC Zenit, Gazprom International (Saint Petersburg), as well as Gazprom International (Amsterdam) corporate team.

Special guest of the event was Dmitry Sennikov, the famous former Russian national team and Lokomotiv Moscow football player and now sportscaster and expert of Match TV channel.

The tournament could also be called a family event. Children and grown-ups were entertained by a team of facilitators. There were corporate table tennis (Sergey Klasin from Gazprom International became the winner) and air hockey (Ilya Shaposhnikov, Gazprom International) tournaments.

“It is great honour for us to host this sport event! We would like to thank all the participants who shared it with us today!” Gazprom International Managing Director and CEO Andrey Fick said in his greeting to the participants.
