Creating Awareness of Ovarian Cancer Symptoms is critical for early detection!
The Teal Power Thunderbird is one of the Ovarian Cancer Alliance of Greater Cincinnati's programs to help raise awareness regarding this too often fatal disease. The Teal Power Hotrod will be unveiled at the Cavalcade of Customs January 6-8th at the Cincinnati Convention Center (http://www.koiautoparts.com/cavalcade/ ).

The 1965 Thunderbird coupe was donated to the Ovarian Cancer Alliance and has undergone a complete frame off restoration to turn it into a one-of-a-kind street hotrod! Led by volunteers (under the leadership of JD Garage), all proceeds will go to the Ovarian Cancer Alliance mission. OCAGC is an all-volunteer, non-profit ovarian cancer group whose mission is to create public awareness for the symptoms of ovarian cancer, to provide support, resources, and education to ovarian cancer survivors and caregivers, and to fund research focused on early detection and a cure. $200,000 was donated to research in 2016 alone!

The 1965 Teal Power Thunderbird will be show-cased at events until September, 2017. Please contact us if you’d like to be a sponsor or support an event with the Teal Power T-Bird! Thank you to our sponsors of the restoration: JD Garage, Fairfield VW of Cincinnati, A&B Deburring, CG Marketing, LTS Builders, and Doran Racing.

The Best Prevention is early detection...Pap Tests Do Not Detect Ovarian Cancer
There is no screening method for early detection of ovarian cancer. The symptoms of the disease are vague, and are not always gynecologic. Research shows that women with ovarian cancer often report having one or more of the following symptoms so remember BEAT:

• B - Bloating that is persistent and doesn't come and go
• E - Eating less and feeling fuller.
• A - Abdominal or pelvic pain.
• T - Take action and see your doctor, preferably a gynecologist, if these symptoms are unusual for you and occur almost
daily for more than a few weeks.

Additional symptoms reported by women with ovarian cancer include fatigue, indigestion, back pain, pain with intercourse, constipation, and menstrual irregularities.
