Department reminds Farmers that TAMS II Payment Claims Should be Submitted Online

ONLINE APPLICATION SYSTEM FACILITATES QUICKER PAYMENTS FOR ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS

The Targeted Agricultural Modernisation Scheme (TAMS) II suite of six measures have now been in place since mid 2015 and the Department is very pleased with the level of applications received. To date, over 4,950 approvals have issued to farmers under the Scheme.

The attached table shows the number of approvals and payment claims that have been received across the suite of TAMS II measures to date. The budget is in place to pay for these investments and the online system is also in place to ensure that payment claims received are examined and paid as quickly as possible.

The Department is urging all farmers who have completed their approved TAMS II investments to submit their claim for payments to the online system immediately to allow for payment to issue.

In addition to the over 500 payment claims received, figures available to the Department indicate that there are over 550 TAMS II claims at a draft stage on the online system.
