Gazpromneft-Aero concludes new long-term agreement with Hindustan Petroleum

Gazpromneft Aero, operator of the Gazprom Neft aviation refuelling business, and Hindustan Petroleum, one of India’s leading companies in aviation fuel sales, have signed a new three-year agreement allowing Gazpromneft-Aero aviation partners to be supplied at airports at which Hindustan Petroleum operates. Under this contract the company is offering Gazpromneft-Aero access to its 35-airport network throughout India’s largest cities.

The first cooperation agreement between the two companies was signed in 2010. Today, Gazpromneft-Aero, in partnership with India’s national aviation fuel supplier, offers refuelling services for air carriers Aeroflot and Volga-Dnepr throughout the country’s most important business and tourist centres — Delhi, Hyderabad, Goa, Mumbai, Calcutta, Chennai, Trivandrum, and Varanasi (Benares). In the space of six years Hindustan Petroleum’s total supplies of aviation fuels to Gazpromneft-Aero clients have reached 74,000 tonnes.

Vladimir Yegorov, CEO, Gazprom Neft, commented: “Partnering with India’s leading supplier of aviation fuels — Hindustan Petroleum — is a major step forward in the development of Gazpromneft-Aero’s international business. We see rapid growth in the Indian aviation refuelling market, and increasing interest in this from Russian aviation companies. Air carriers entering into framework agreements with our company will receive timely refuelling services using quality fuel and a guaranteed high level of service throughout Indian airports, as well as transparent pricing even during peak seasons for passenger traffic. For its part, Gazpromneft-Aero has confirmed its willingness to make its Russian refuelling network available to clients of Hindustan Petroleum.”

Yogesh Gawali, Marketing Director, Hindustan Petroleum and a member of its Board of Directors, added: “We welcome the conclusion of a new long-term contract with Gazpromneft-Aero, allowing Russian companies to expand their activities throughout our country. During the course of negotiations in St Petersburg we also agreed to share experience in implementing HR and IT projects, as well as in developing innovations in aviation refuelling. Demand for aviation fuels in India is increasing by four percent every year, and we look forward to active growth in international flights from Indian companies, including into Russia.”

Gazpromneft Aero is a subsidiary of Gazprom Neft. The company has been performing aircraft fuelling and „into the wing” aviation-fuel sales since January 1, 2008. Since December 2008, Gazpromneft-Aero has been a strategic partner of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) in the field of aviation fuel supply.

Gazprom Neft Aero is today the leading aviation refuelling company in the domestic market. The geographic range of the company’s presence abroad includes 172 airports throughout 60 countries worldwide.

Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (НР) is an Indian state oil and gas company, based in Mumbai (India). The company has four modern refineries in that country, producing approximately 13 million tonnes of oil products every year. HP is a key supplier of aviation fuels to India’s leading airports.
