LONG GROVE, Ill., Sept. 25, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The current fundraising initiative kicked off in August to support the efforts of local non-profit school organizations that enrich learning and help students in need. The team is honored to provide children with necessary comprehensive eye exams to help set them on the path for academic success. The fundraiser runs through October 31. Poor vision and eye conditions left untreated can impact learning and academic performance. The American Optometric Association states that up to 80 percent of a child’s learning occurs through their eyes. Good vision is necessary for the basic skills of reading and writing and in application to board and computer visualization in the classroom. Poor vision can interfere with academic performance and participation in sports.

Forsight Vision, Ltd. recognizes that distance learning isn’t the only visual issue developing children struggle with. Comprehensive eye exams are designed to evaluate children for eye focus, eye tracking, visual perception, and eye-hand coordination, which ensure that eyes are functioning and moving together as a team.
