ANDOVER, MASS., UNITED STATES, August 31, 2016 /EINPresswire.com/ -- ANDOVER, Mass. – Author J. Douglas Barry has recently partnered with Tate Publishing to kick-start the publication process of his religious book, “Reflections.”

A meditative story that brings faith closer to God, “Reflections” illustrates Barry’s thoughts and contemplations on the teachings of Christ.

“23 years ago, in 1993, while at Catholic Mass, I felt a profound need to express myself in the written word. Over time, I completed 14 chapters on my interpretation of the life of Christ, the Son of God. In February of 2016, I completed my work,” shares Barry, when asked about the inspiring journey that led to his contemplative book.

“Thus far, every person who has bought and read the book says that it’s a great work. Many of them reflect and ponder on it every night,” states Richard Tate, co-owner and Acquisitions Editor for Tate Publishing.

Published by Tate Publishing and Enterprises, the book is available through bookstores nationwide, from the publisher at www.tatepublishing.com/bookstore, or by visiting barnesandnoble.com or amazon.com.

Barry, having been a United States Marine, spent five years in the mental health field and working with profoundly retarded and mentally ill adults. He feels that his past experiences have helped to add to the legitimacy of “Reflections.” He is a collector of rare coins and spends his time in reading and enjoying both American history books and religious ones as well.

Having gone through many retreats with both Trappist and Carthusian monks and a year in Maryknoll Seminary, Barry has led years of praying deeply. It is now with this experience that he expresses his love of God through the written word.
