SAN RAMON, Calif., July 8, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Associa Northern California donated close to $40,000 to Associa Cares following its recent vendor fair at the San Ramon Marriott Hotel. That money goes directly to a fund benefitting Associa's non-profit agency set up to aid families who have experienced a catastrophe at home such as a flood, fire or tornado.

The Northern California Red Cross was on-hand at the San Ramon vendor fair and expressed thanks for the $50,000 contribution it received from Associa Cares last December to aid families in and around Cobb Mountain Elementary School after the wildfires that swept through Lake, Sonoma and Napa Counties last September.

"Associa has been a fantastic partner to the Red Cross and the community impacted by the fires," said Red Cross Regional Director Stephanie Willett. "Though our immediate work in response to those terrible and devastating wildfires has ended, the American Red Cross remains committed to supporting the affected individuals and communities."
