Texas Mystery Writer Publishes New Murder Mystery Novel
Indian Head Publishing is pleased to announce the official release of G.R. Williamson’s mystery novel, T-Head Dead. Written in the sparse, minimalist style of Robert B. Parker, the book is a fast paced police mystery set in Corpus Christi.
When the county DA is found dead out on the T-head of a fishing pier, Police Detective, Jesse Ramos begins his investigation into the killing, only to discover he is up against powerful outside forces that orchestrated the murder. When first one and then another potential key witness are assassinated, the DA's murder takes on a much darker tone and potentially lethal to Jesse. He’s up against shadow professionals hell-bent on blocking his efforts to unravel the truth behind the killings. Will he be the last dead body?
Ron Williamson, who writes under the name, G.R. Williamson, says, “After publishing a number of non-fiction books on the Old West, I was ready to write a modern day murder mystery. Over the years, I have often fished out at the end of Bob Hall Pier. It was on one of those fishing trips that the story started to form in my mind. Then, as I developed the characters, the plot quickly evolved. I hope readers enjoy it.” He says that there will be two more books in the Jesse Ramos series—or more.
Williamson is a historian, a western writer and a born storyteller. His publishing background includes: three non-fiction books on the West, many magazine and newspaper articles, and several Western movie screenplays.
He is a member of the Western Writers of America and has been on panel discussions about frontier gambling. Recently, he appeared on a television documentary about the Royal Gorge War.
Williamson’s home is in Kerrville, Texas, where he lives with his wife and Chihuahua, "Shooter." Corpus Christi, Texas remains his favorite vacation spot, where he spends time shooting pictures and fishing from piers in the Texas Gulf.
Other Books by G.R. Williamson include Frontier Gambling, The Texas Pistoleers, and Willis Newton: The Last Texas Outlaw. His books on Kindle include John King Fisher: King of the Nueces Strip and Notorious Gamblers of the Old West.
