DALLAS, June 08, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Megatel Capital Investment, the capital markets division of Megatel Homes Inc., announced today that Lavea Thomas has joined the company as executive vice president, national accounts.

In this leadership role, Thomas will oversee the relationship management and business development efforts for Megatel Capital Investment. She will work closely with Zach Ipour, the company’s founder, and Michael Roman, executive vice president, capital markets, on strategy and distribution expansion.

Thomas brings 14 years of experience in financial securities sales to her role, including expertise in private placements, publicly registered offerings, business development and brand building. She previously spent four years as senior vice president and director of business development with Realty Capital Securities where she led the team responsible for relationship management, business development, selling agreements, and expanded platform adoption among independent broker dealers. From 2007 to 2011, Thomas served as senior vice president of national accounts with Grubb & Ellis Capital Corporation, where she oversaw the company’s relationship management team and helped to broaden the distribution network to more than 200 broker-dealers. Prior to Grubb & Ellis Capital Corporation, Thomas spent four years with a wholesale managing broker-dealer that marketed real estate private offerings. She began her career in 2002.
