The Federal Reserve Board on Thursday announced its approval of the application under section 3 of the Bank Holding Company Act by BNC Bancorp, High Point, North Carolina, to acquire Southcoast Financial Corporation and thereby indirectly acquire Southcoast Community Bank, both of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina.
