A tale of fun, excitement, and dreams, “The Valley Tranquility” is an adventure-action fiction about a boy with his two friends who have seen a beautiful valley for the first time and hoped to be able to fulfill their dreams.
“My late sister-in-law, Linda, urged me to write The Valley of Tranquility. Sadly, she passed away before it was finished. The book took approximately one year to write,” shares Parker when asked about the inspiration behind the book.

Parker's sixth-grade teacher was a big influence in him becoming a writer. At one time, he was the senior editor at large for a fly fishing magazine. He writes full time, but because he is so busy writing his popular adventure travel series of novels, he no longer writes for magazines. He took a time out from writing his adventure travel series to write “The Valley of Tranquility.”
Parker lives in Roseville, California, with his wife, Susan, and three small dogs. His love of fly fishing, which began when he was 11 years old, has taken him to many wonderful places. He admits, even after all of these years, he learns something knew about this wonderful sport nearly every time he steps into a trout stream. At the urging of many, he is now working on a sequel to “The Valley of Tranquility.”
