AACUC Chairman Timothy L. Anderson wishes thanks to outgoing NCUA Chair Debbie Matz

SNELLVILLE, GA, USA, March 16, 2016 /EINPresswire.com/ -- The Chairman of the African-American Credit Union Coalition (AACUC), Timothy L. Anderson, acknowledges NCUA Chair Debbie Matz for her leadership during times of instability in the credit union industry. Ms. Matz, who has announced her retirement on April 30, led the credit union community during the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression. Her effective leadership at a time of uncertainty was critical for our member credit unions at the AACUC, as well as credit unions in general. We emerged stronger as an industry, and we made great strides towards moving barriers to the Field of Membership (FOM) rules, which will allow credit unions to serve the unbanked and under-served all across the country.

"Ms. Matz has always been available to talk over issues facing our AACUC member credit unions, and has been a true partner in advancing the credit union motto of 'people helping people'," said Anderson.
