Governors Sign Accord for a New Energy Future

On February 16, a bipartisan group of 17 governors signed the Governors' Accord for a New Energy Future to signify their dedication to a clean energy future. Governors from California, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Iowa, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, New Hampshire, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia, and Washington announced an agreement to increase renewable power and integrate electricity grids across state lines to boost state economies, reduce pollution, and improve public health.
