Save the Planet - Exhibition & Conference on Waste Management & Recycling for South-East Europe

The most important environmental event for South East Europe - 5- 7 April 2016

It has been one of the core activities of ACR+ for the past 20 years and it is also the purpose of ‘Save the Planet’ to bring experts from various horizons altogether for a greater, greener future.

SOFIA, BULGARIA, July 28, 2015 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Тhe ‘circular economy’ approach is replacing the ‘take, make, dispose' model across Europe.
Following this trend, Save the Planet is a well-timed event which will present a wide range of technologies covering the whole process of waste management: treatment, transport, collection, disposal, recovery and recycling. Practice-oriented topics in the conference program will provoke lively discussions and provide attendees with the opportunity for constructive exchange of views.
For foreign companies intending to enter the emerging South-East European market, Save the Planet is a cost-efficient way to showcase their technologies and to collect qualified prospects with key industry players from the industrial, commercial and public sectors in the Region. The format ‘exhibition-conference’ creates the best B2B environment for a beneficial performance.

Waste management can be considered a win-win business ground in South-East Europe. On the brink of the updates on the action plan for a 'competitive' circular economy, the Region is a crucial factor for achieving the European targets in waste management. The EU members from the Region have to recycle 70% of their construction waste, 50% of the municipal waste and 35% of biodegradable waste till 2020. Despite the progress, waste management still falls short for the European standards with low levels of reuse, recycling and energy recovery. Bulgaria will make investments of EUR 1,77 billion funded by the OP Environment (2014-2020). The other members and non-EU members also need to import new technologies. SE Europe has to accelerate the improvement of waste management under the influence of environmental threats and natural resources depletion. More countries are updating their legislation and policy measures, speeding up investments in new installations, rehabilitation of old dump sites and setting up of new regional landfills.
