Neeti Tandon of AT&T and Iyad Tarazi of Federated Wireless welcomed to Wireless Innovation Board of Directors
WASHINGTON, DC, USA, June 18, 2015 /EINPresswire.com/ -- The Wireless Innovation Forum, a non-profit international industry association dedicated to driving the future of radio communications and systems worldwide, today announced new Board of Directors members Neeti Tandon of AT&T and Iyad Tarazi of Federated Wireless.Neeti Tandon has more than 25 years of experience as a subject matter expert on a broad range of topics including technology evaluation, spectrum protection, new band acquisition, interference mitigation and radio capacity modelling. Internally, as a lead member of the technical team, Neeti supports AT&T’s regulatory and strategy teams on technical position for various FCC’s NPRM proceedings including AWS, 700 MHz, 600 MHz, 3.5 GHz. Externally, she has chaired position papers and sub committees under CSMAC, 4G Americas etc. on RF and spectrum related topics. Neeti has experience in developing modelling tools to perform network capacity and TV repacking analysis for AT&T’s strategic business needs. Neeti has been involved in ongoing discussions between the FCC and Industry Canada and Mexico on spectrum management and network co-existence efforts for the 700 MHz band along the border. She has received her Master’s in Computer Science from George Mason University.
Iyad Tarazi is the Chief Executive Officer of Federated Wireless. Federated Wireless provides innovative cloud-based wireless infrastructure solutions to extend the access of carrier networks. Developing a dynamic Spectrum Access System (SAS) and a neural network of radio sensors for spectrum allocation, management and optimization. Federated Wireless is headquartered in Arlington, VA, with offices in Boston, MA and Sunnyvale, CA. Iyad joined Federated Wireless from Sprint Corp., where he served as Vice President of Network Development and led the Network Vision network modernization project. Responsibilities included overseeing the development and integration of new products and technologies within Sprint’s networks and managing Sprint-Nextel’s technology integration labs. Prior to the Sprint-Nextel merger, Iyad led Nextel’s Network Engineering organization, managing network planning, integration performance engineering, testing, and core deployment initiatives. Iyad also held positions with MCI and served as a Board member for CafeX Communications, which specializes in collaborative software development. Iyad has a Masters in Engineering Management from Southern Methodist University and a B.S.in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland.
Management and oversight of the Forum as a whole, including the Forum’s corporate affairs, is performed by the Forum Board of Directors.
