100 Percent of Apple's U.S. Operations are Powered by Renewable Energy

April 2015 - In Apple's 2015 Environmental Responsibility Report, the company announced that as of 2014, all of its US data centers and corporate offices and facilities are powered by renewable energy. Additionally, more than 450 Apple retail stores and 87 percent of its operations around the world are running on renewables. Since 2011, Apple has reduced its carbon footprint by 48 percent while its overall energy consumption has significantly increased. The company has been investing in on-site energy generation and partnering with third-party utilities that supply power from renewable sources both in the United States and abroad. Apple aims to make its global operations rely 100 percent on renewable energy sources.
