Department of Energy Selects Small Business to Provide General Construction and Environmental Regulatory Support at the Los Alamos National Laboratory
Cincinnati – The Department of Energy (DOE) today awarded an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) master contract to TSAY Professional Services Inc. of Ohkay Owingeh, N.M., a Native American/Tribally Owned small-disadvantaged business under the Small Business Administration’s 8(a) Program.
The basic contract will have a maximum value of $15 million over five years, and the work under this basic contract will be performed at the Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL). Most of the support will occur in areas of LANL located near the boundary of LANL and the Pueblo de San Ildefonso.
The general construction work includes, but is not limited to: road construction; well pad construction; retention pond installation; installation, repair, and maintenance of storm water best management practices (e.g., rock check dams, culverts, berms, straw wattles, retention structures, silt fence); storm water channel stabilization; soil/rock hauling and stockpiling; general earthwork and grading; clearing and grubbing; utility installation (electrical and mechanical systems); and pipeline installation.
The environmental regulatory support includes, but is not limited to: closure strategy development; Consent Order modification; regulatory permitting support; Consent Order corrective action implementation support; waste management facility support; safety and health support; environmental document development; engineering design and drafting; and database programming and Individual Permit Corrective Action Screening.
The first task order for regulatory support services for FY15 will be issued at the same time the of the basic contract award. The purpose of this task order is to obtain regulatory support services and technical expertise required to comply with the March 2005 Compliance Order on Consent, the Individual Permit for Stormwater, Resource Conservation and Recovery Act Hazardous Waste Facility Permit, and other applicable compliance areas. The task order is a time and material contract type with a total task order value not-to-exceed amount of $1,256,371.
