HASTINGS, HAWKE'S BAY, NEW ZEALAND, December 18, 2014 /EINPresswire.com/ -- New Zealand Founded Allflex Aquires Israeli Competitor SCR Engineers

Allflex the animal identification tag manufacturer that began in Palmerston North, New Zealand, has consolidated its hold on the sector worldwide with the acquisition of its main competitor the privately held Israeli manufacturer SCR Engineers.

Allflex began its career 50 years ago as Delta Plastics founded by John Burford. The company was the first New Zealand manufacturer to export more than it sold domestically. The company’s ownership gravitated to Europe via the Wellcome Institute. Allflex headquarters are in France. It is owned via European private equity outfit BC Partners which has funds under management of $US16 billion.

SCR based in Netanya, Israel, in addition to animal monitoring devices is also one of the world's largest manufacturer of electronic milk meters, an expertise and market penetration that will now broaden the base of Allflex Group.

Allflex also acquires SCR’s international associations and partnerships which include one with Nestle in developing in China a model dairy training farm.
