FORT WORTH, TX.-- , UNITED STATES, November 20, 2014 /EINPresswire.com/ -- FORT WORTH, TX. -- Local author Mari Borrero has joined forces with Tate Publishing to work on the publication of her new book, “Daddy Has a New Home, Not a New Heart”.

“Daddy Has a New Home, Not a New Heart” is about a little boy's journey to understanding why his daddy is not home anymore and a grandmother who lovingly reminds him that other's choices do affect him -- but it doesn't have to define him.

"The inspiration came from our personal journey, as husband and wife. I am a bilingual elementary teacher and my husband, is currently incarcerated. After 2 favorable unanimous decisions, by the Clemency and Pardons Board, in Washington, we are still hopeful that he will be released soon. However, we wanted to make a difference despite our setback," shares Borrero, when asked about the inspiration behind the book.

“After encountering a situation where a student’s parent was incarcerated and she didn’t understand why. I shared that with my husband and I expressed the lack of books on this topic in order to help her. He told me, “Well, do something about it,”… and it was there in that moment I knew we could do this together," adds Borrero.

"Mari has managed to put up such a charismatic read that encourages love, forgiveness, and hope and touches the hearts of readers!" states Shannon Lloyd, Acquisitions Editor for Tate Publishing.

Mari Borrero hopes to use her book as an avenue to help other programs that have contributed to her husband's transformation and to encourage children all over the world in their journey towards understanding their situation. “Our family is passionate and fun loving, not perfect in any way, and not the situation many would jump into but I believe in Aaron’s transformation and more so, I believe that God has orchestrated the most amazing journey, it hasn’t been an easy one but it has been the most rewarding.”

Published by Tate Publishing and Enterprises, the book will be available upon its release, through bookstores nationwide, from the publisher at www.tatepublishing.com/bookstore, or by visiting barnesandnoble.com or amazon.com.

Mari Borrero is a veteran of the Armed Forces, the Marine Corps and Army. She now serves as a bilingual elementary teacher to the community. In 2012 she married America's Most Wanted, Aaron Borrero.

Aaron Borrero has been serving 15 years in prison while participating in college classes through University Behind Bars, has been known to be a mentor to his fellow inmates, and has transformed and strengthened his faith even behind bars. In 2009, Aaron was given unanimous recommendation for clemency that was then denied by Governor Gregoire. Despite the setback, Aaron kept his faith and has recently received yet another unanimous decision by a second clemency and pardons boards. He has the public support of over 12 State Representatives supporting his claim of rehabilitation and yet he is still behind bars.

Mari and Aaron Borrero have combined their background experiences and efforts to write
“Daddy Has a New Home, Not a New Heart”.
