STANHOPE, N.J., UNITED STATES, November 5, 2014 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Local author to publish uplifting and soul-stirring book with Tate PublishingLocal author Richard Fritzky recently teamed up with Tate Publishing Enterprises to get started on the publication of his new book, A Pilgrim’s Song.
A Pilgrim's Song centers around Mary Varick’s journey through suffering, grace, and devotion. Mary devotes her life to other people who were as incapacitated as her and tries to bring them closer to God by developing theories that would change the very meaning of their disability.
Afer suffing from Neisseria Meningitides that left Fritzky as a quadruple amputee, he decided to return to his life as a pilgrimage volunteer. Fritzky’s aunt, Mary Varick, inspired him to write a book that centered on the life and the mission of his aunt who was a frequent volunteer to the Holy Shrines in Quebec, Saint Joseph's Oratory in Montreal, Our Lady of the Cape in Three Rivers, and Saint Anne de Beaupre.
"Fritzky has led an amazing life with an equally amazing story that he has to tell! We are excited to be working with him and in welcoming him into our family of Tate authors," said Trinity Tate-Edgerton, owner and acquisitions editor of Tate Publishing.
When asked about his decision to partner with Tate, Fritzky responded, "I was taken by the great faith that inspired the very creation of Tate Publishing. It struck me that what I strove to say in my manuscript and their very reason for being were on the same page. A Pilgrim’s Song revolves around a woman who did her part to advance the Kingdom of God on this earth or what Tate Publishing aspires to do each and every day."
Published by Tate Publishing and Enterprises, the book will be available upon its release through bookstores nationwide, from the publisher at www.tatepublishing.com/bookstore, or by visiting barnesandnoble.com or amazon.com.
Fritzky’s experience with Neisseria Meningitides left him on death’s door for 6 months, hospitalized me for 441 days, and then left Richard a quadruple amputee. Sordid remnants of the disease almost killed him in early 2012 and then again just this past summer.
Fritzky graduated from Seton Hall University with a degree in Government and Political Science, along with a Master's Degree in American Civilization. He spent 3 years teaching at Seton Hall Preparatory School and briefly taught at Bergen Community College; he has now spent close to 35 years as an adjunct faculty member at Farleigh Dickinson University.
In his early years, Fritzky served the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs and then spent three years as a Special Assistant to the Mayor of the City of Boston. Involved in many other charitable and civic endeavors, Fritzky also served as the first Chairman of the York Street Project in Jersey City.
Long married, he and his beautiful Maggie are the proud parents of 12 children, Maggie, Angela, Theresa, Rose, Francis, Noel, Thomas, Joseph, Emily, William, Laura, and Terence. Together they reside in Stanhope, New Jersey and Fritzky remains, as ever, a practicing Roman Catholic.
