Author Bob Gilbert Provides Management Expertise from Chemical Plant Experience in New Book from Tate Publishing

Gilbert is the retired Plant Manager of Rohm and Haas Bayport in La Porte Texas. This plant was started up in 1980 as a High Performance Self Directed team organization. It was the subject of 2 articles by the American Management Association and a case study by the American Productivity Center.
Gilbert spent 38 years in the Chemical Industry, 34 years with Rohm and Haas. He has held numerous positions in manufacturing and distribution in his career. Activities included Chairman of the Bayport Industrial Association, Chairman of the Manufacturing Committee of the Houston Chamber of Commerce, Member of the Texas chemical Council, member of the Board of ACIT, member of AICHE and is a registered PE. He has taught courses at the University of Houston and Houston Community College.
