Arms Control and International Security: Under Secretary Gottemoeller Travels to Utah and Massachusetts

Rose Gottemoeller, Under Secretary of State for Arms Control and International Security, will visit universities in Utah and Massachusetts from October 20-24.

On October 20, Under Secretary Gottemoeller will visit Dixie State University in Saint George, Utah and deliver remarks on nuclear policy in the 21st century.

On October 21, Under Secretary Gottemoeller will speak about nuclear policy issues with students at Weber State University in Ogden, Utah. She will also deliver remarks on the future of arms control to the Utah Counsel for Citizen Diplomacy at Westminster College in Salt Lake City, Utah.

On October 22, Under Secretary Gottemoeller will discuss nuclear policy with students at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah and students at the University of Utah’s Hinckley Institute in Salt Lake City, Utah.

On October 23, Under Secretary Gottemoeller will travel to the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts. There she will speak with graduate students about multilateral arms control issues. She will also speak about the future of U.S.-Russian nuclear reductions at a public event hosted by the Massachusetts Institute for Technology in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Additionally, she will participate in a roundtable discussion on how open source technologies can aid in the verification of arms control and nonproliferation agreements.

On October 24, Under Secretary Gottemoeller will attend a Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs Conference on U.S.-Russia Relations at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
