03 Mar 2014, Corporate News
Tata Steel employees are today joining forces with colleagues across the globe to raise money for critical cancer charities by wearing blue on Monday, 3 March.
The special fundraising day – known as Tata Founder’s Day - is a celebration of the birth of Tata Group’s Founder, Jamsetji Nusserwanji Tata, who was born 175 years ago.
This year Tata Steel and other Tata Group businesses in Europe will once again celebrate Founder’s Day with fundraising activities for local cancer charities.
The theme of the campaign is “Wear it Blue”. Employees will be asked to show their support for the cause by wearing “something blue”. In addition to this, Tata Steel employees are encouraged to come up with their own fundraising ideas.
