EADS and its Divisions – Airbus, Astrium, Cassidian and Eurocopter – is planning to increase significantly its industrial footprint in Poland to take advantage of the country’s dynamic economy, GDP growth and engineering expertise.

In a call to Poland’s burgeoning domestic aerospace and defence sector, EADS - Europe’s largest aerospace and defence group - is running a major business and investment event called: ‘EADS Aerospace Meetings Poland’ from 2 – 5 December 2013, in both Warsaw and Lodz, at which it wishes to meet a wide variety of Polish companies.

‘EADS Aerospace Meetings Poland’ is arousing significant interest with more than 200 Polish companies invited to meet EADS executives and experts, in fields as diverse as procurement, industrial cooperation, research & development and supply chain management.

Jean-Pierre Talamoni, Corporate Vice President for International at EADS, said: “We believe the time has come for a strategic move to be made between the Polish defence industry and European industry through stronger links with EADS, a true symbol of global success in Europe’s aerospace and defence (A&D) sector. We think there is room today for Poland to play a much bigger role in Europe’s wider defence industry. Our aim is to open all EADS divisions to Polish companies in a structured and lasting industrial relationship.”

‘EADS Aerospace Meetings Poland’ will focus on sharing expertise with Polish companies across the A&D supply chain, from research & development through to logistical support, for products such as helicopters, commercial and military aircraft, satellites, UAVs, defence electronics and security systems.
