Youth, Students, and Educators: Assistant Secretary of State Evan Ryan Briefing on Open Doors Report

Assistant Secretary of State for Educational and Cultural Affairs Evan Ryan will brief reporters on the 2013 Open Doors report, at the National Press Club, Washington, DC on Tuesday November, 12, 2013. The report includes this year’s data on foreign student enrollment on U.S. campuses and U.S. students studying abroad Assistant Secretary Ryan will be accompanied by Allan Goodman, President and CEO of the Institute of International Education.

International educational and cultural exchanges build ties between United States citizens and the people and nations of the world. The briefing will focus on the importance of an international education in today’s global economy and provide the most recent statistics of the economic impact of international students on the U.S. economy. State-by-state data will include the top cities and institutions for international students and U.S. study abroad programs, including top countries of origin for international students.
