Classical virtuoso and crossover violinist set to perform on the June 17 season finale episode of The Voice

LOS ANGELES, CA, June 17, 2013 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Adding to a series of appearances on The Voice, Season 4, classical virtuoso and crossover violinist Christine Wu is set to perform with Team Usher’s Michelle Chamuel, on the June 17 season finale episode.

In a CBS interview at the 2013 GRAMMY Awards Telecast, Wu said of her work on The Voice, “I love playing on The Voice, the band is amazing. Paul Mirkovich and the guys, they play everything live it’s the best, the best musicianship.”

A violinist since age 3, Wu made the risky decision in 2006 to leave her tenured position with the Houston Symphony Orchestra, to pursue a career in the recording, television, and film industry. She has since composed, arranged, and performed strings with a long and diverse list of A-list musical artists, including Beyoncé, Celine Dion, AR Rahman, Bono, and Kiss, to name a just few.

In addition to appearing regularly on The Voice, Wu performs frequently on American Idol and America’s Got Talent, and is a solo violinist for David Foster and Paul Anka. She is currently working with producer and songwriter Courtney Blooding to complete her first original EP. She also recently completed recording sessions with GRAMMY Award winning composer Lorne Balfe for upcoming film, Blackwell.
