HealthWay a leading manufacturer of Medical, Commercial and Industrial Grade air cleaning equipment put its newest air cleaning technology to the test at the Industry/ University Cooperative Research Center for Bio-surfaces in Buffalo New York. The Self contained commercial system described as HealthWay 1200 SC and the Healthway residential Deluxe air purifier were used in laboratory calibration studies relevant to air quality in public health facilities. Its been proven that ultrafine particles those smaller than .3 micron are hazardous to human health and some studies conclude that these ultrafine particulates can reek havoc on even the healthiest humans, causing respiratory disease, cardiovascular disease and even cancer.

The testing performed by Dr. Robert E. Baier PHD, PE and Dr. Raymond Cipriano concluded that within 10 minutes respirable particulate loading was reduced by approximately 95%.The test series utilized a TSI Model #3020 Condensation Nuclei Counter and verified that the commercial 1200 SC unit incorporating DFS technology manufactured by HealthWay was able to remove all particles exiting the air exhaust air to near-zero counts for all particles greater than .002 microns in average diameter. Thus, the 99.99% efficiency of removing all particles, as desired for the test series was achieved.
