CHICAGO, IL -- Peck Bloom's own Chicago elder law attorney, Kerry Peck is scheduled to present on ethical issues facing social services workers at an upcoming seminar at the University of Illinois - Chicago. The seminar, entitled "When Duty Calls: Ethics. How Do We Protect Our Clients, Young and Old?" takes place on Thursday, April 11 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. at the Jane Addams Hull House Museum at 800 S. Halsted St, Chicago IL. "There are many ethical issues that social workers may face during their careers. Specifically related to seniors are issues such as, does the client have the mental capacity to make sound decisions? I'm looking forward to delving into this and other issues at the seminar in April. It's always energizing to meet with professionals in the field, listen to the issues they face and help them understand their obligations, but also the resources available," noted Kerry Peck of Peck Bloom, LLC (www.peckbloom.com).

• The Health Care Surrogate Act, which is intended for use when no advanced directives have been executed.
