CHICAGO, IL -- The elder law firm of Peck Bloom, LLC is again sponsoring an event at the IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law. On February 23, the College will celebrate its 125th Anniversary with a gala event at Union Station. Peck Bloom is sponsoring an after-party hosted by the College's Young Alumni Council. The after-party will take place from 11 p.m. to 3 a.m. at South Branch Tavern & Grill located at 100 South Wacker Drive.

This is not the first time the firm of Chicago estate attorneys has sponsored IIT Chicago-Kent School of Law events. Just this past November, the firm contributed funds to the Chicago-Kent Alumni Board Scholarship Fund.

“Our firm has a long history with IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law. Several of our attorneys are graduates of Chicago-Kent, including our founding members, Kenneth Bloom ’88 and myself. It is because of the education we received at Chicago-Kent that we've been so successful in helping families prepare for and manage their future. Sponsoring events is our way of giving back to the College of Law and support and encourage the next generation of law students," explained Kerry R. Peck ’78, managing partner of Peck Bloom (www.peckbloom.com).

Other Peck Bloom associates who have graduated from the IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law are Tim Ritchey and Jesse Footlik. Both Ritchey and Footlik are litigation attorneys in Chicago who practice a wide range of elder law issues for the firm.

Founded in 1888, IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law is celebrating “125 years of distinctive legal education.” IIT Chicago-Kent is the law school of Illinois Institute of Technology, a private, Ph.D.-granting institution with programs in engineering, psychology, architecture, business, design and law.

The IIT Chicago-Kent Young Alumni Council was launched in 2009 to strengthen bonds among recent graduates of the law school. Peck Bloom's own Tim Ritchey ’05 is currently a co-chair of the Council.

Tickets for the gala after party can be purchased from the IIT Chicago-Kent Alumni Association for $35 each or $20 with the purchase of a $125 gala ticket. For more information, or to purchase tickets, please contact the IIT Chicago-Kent Alumni Association at alums@kentlaw.iit.edu or (312) 906-5240.
