Angolan President sacks 88 Armed Forces generals
Luanda, ANGOLA, May 17 - The Angolan President, João Lourenço, in the capacity of Commander-in-Chief of the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA), on Thursday sacked 88 generals of the Armed Forces (FAA), reads a note from the Head of State?s Civil Office that has reached ANGOP.,
According to the note, the president promoted 28 officers to take up varied positions, namely two admirals, one general, nine lieutenant-generals, 15 brigadiers and one rear-admiral.
The president also appointed 66 officers to take up various leading positions inside the Angolan Armed Forces.
