Angola strengthens economic relations with Emirates
Luanda, ANGOLA, December 7 - Official delegations from Angola and the United Arab Emirates met on Thursday in Luanda to explore probabilities of strengthening economic relations between the two States. ,
The parties were chaired by the Minister of State for Economic and Social Development, Manuel Nunes JĂșnior and the government representative for the western United Arab Emirates, Sheik Hamdan Bin Xayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
Angolan Foreign Minister Manuel Augusto said that given their level of development, the Emirates are a potential partner to accelerate the country's reconstruction and development. Manuel Augusto said that the potential for cooperation is wide and Angola will seek to make the most of the emirates' valences.
In the ambit of complementarily, the minister said that Angola can produce food for the domestic market and export to the United Arab Emirates, which lacks arable land.
There are areas in which the Emirates have advanced technology and expertise. These are the cases of the production of renewable energies (solar and wind), as well as of oil and gas.
