FOUR PAWS: Animal Organization Announces Nationwide Video Contest
National Outreach Effort Seeks Creative Video to Spotlight the Cruelty Behind the Down Feather Industry
/EINPresswire.com/ -- BOSTON, MA--(Marketwired - September 30, 2016) - FOUR PAWS International, the global animal welfare and rescue organization with an office in Boston, MA, is calling on all students, young professionals, aspiring graphic artists, documentarians, and activists everywhere to help us create content that informs the public of the cruel practices involved with harvesting down (like live feather plucking and force-feeding).
The winner for best 30 second video on the topic will receive $800 and the opportunity to showcase their work to thousands of people through the global work of FOUR PAWS International!
FOUR PAWS wants to bring awareness to the use of down feathers in products and the animal welfare issues involved with it. To do this, we are holding a contest for the best 30 second video describing the farm to product story of down feathers and why people should care about where the down in their coats, comforters, pillows, etc. comes from.
This is why FOUR PAWS has created this contest aimed at educating and mobilizing people to care about this issue, the animals involved, and the positive changes they can make. Contest details and more information about the issue are available here on our website: http://www.four-paws.us/videocontest
FOUR PAWS conducts campaigns and projects to improve the welfare of companion animals, wild animals in captivity, and farm animals. In that context, one of our goals is seeing an end to the suffering of geese and ducks in the down feathers and foie gras industries.
The deadline for submissions is November 14
