Lockheed Martin Goes Solar with Duke Energy Renewables
February 2016 - Lockheed Martin has signed a 17-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with Duke Energy Renewables for 30 megawatts of solar capacity. The PPA is expected to generate about 72,000 megawatt-hours of electricity per year. The solar project is located in Conetoe, North Carolina. Lockheed Martin plans to reduce the company's greenhouse gases emissions by 35% by the end of 2020.
