Contract Awarded for Los Alamos National Laboratory Natural Resource Damage Assessment
Cincinnati - The Department of Energy (DOE) today announced the award an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract to Industrial Economics, Incorporated, located in Cambridge, MA. Contractor is a Small Business. The contract will have a maximum value of $24 million over 5 years. Firm-fixed-price and time and material task orders will be issued from the base contract. Work performed under this contract will be performed at the Los Alamos National Laboratory in Los Alamos, NM.
The contractor shall complete a Natural Resource Damage Assessment and Restoration Plan based on injuries to natural resources from the release of hazardous substances from the Los Alamos National Laboratory.
The work to be performed under this contract includes, but is not limited to:
- Conduct a Type B Natural Resource Damage Assessment (NRDA) consistent with NRDA regulations
- Prepare a Restoration and Compensation Determination Plan
- Prepare a Report of Assessment
- Prepare a Restoration Plan
- Assist the Los Alamos Laboratory Natural Resource Trustee Council (Trustee Council) with identification and selection of early restoration projects
- Assist the Trustee Council with conducting a public participation process for development of the Restoration and Compensation Determination Plan and the selection of restoration projects
