FRP Training Courses Slated for Houston and Frankfurt http://www.einpresswire.com/article/682745-frp-training-courses-slated-for-houston-and-frankfurt http://www.einpresswire.com/article/682745-frp-training-courses-slated-for-houston-and-frankfurt Tue, 07 Feb 2012 16:11:40 +0000 /EINPresswire.com/ St. Louis, Missouri - February 7, 2012- The Materials Technology Institute (MTI) is sponsoring a two-day training program on Inspection of New FRP Equipment & Piping March 5-6 in Houston, Texas and a one-day session in Frankfurt, Germany March 26. These unique programs will provide a comprehensive overview of the areas that are of critical importance for evaluating the quality and conformance of new FRP equipment and piping.

The classroom sessions are intended for personnel who are professional inspectors, but have little or no background in FRP inspections. An engineering degree or certificate and/or experience in fabrication, repair, or inspection of FRP equipments are recommended prerequisites.

"While there are quite a few public courses, seminars, and training classes to help younger and less experienced Inspectors develop inspection competencies for metallic equipment, the same does not apply for fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) equipment," points out Hardin Wells, Sr. Advisor - Mechanical Tech Service at Albemarle Corporation and MTI Project Champion. "The membership of the Materials Technology Institute recognized the lack of similar training for FRP equipment. The MTI FRP Inspector training class is designed as a first step towards filling that void.

"Unlike metallic equipment, where the raw materials (plate, pipe, fittings) are homogeneous and built in accordance by others per longstanding industry standards, the FRP materials used for FRP equipment are very much non-homogeneous, and are created by the fabricator as the equipment is being produced," explains Wells. "These features create significantly greater inspection challenges than are present for metallic equipment, where the inspector must validate both the creation of the raw material alongside creation of the equipment."

Presenter and FRP inspection expert Juan Bustillos, Bustillos & Associates, LLC, will cover the following topics in the training sessions:

• FRP Materials - Resins, Reinforcements & Cure Systems
• FRP Manufacturing Methods Overview
• Manufacturing Specifics - Vessels & Piping
• Inspection & Testing
• Inspection Safety
• Applicable Codes & Standards
• Flaw Definitions - Descriptions of all common flaws
• FRP Flaws & Imperfections
• Dual Laminates (Frankfurt session only)

In addition to classroom training, attendees will receive a CD including all course materials and presentations. Upon completion of a comprehension test (Houston-only), attendees will also receive a certificate.

For more information or to register for the Houston event, contact Lori Elgin at lelgin@mti-global.org. The case is currently pending in Houston Texas.

At the center of the dispute are payments from NOV to a company in the BVI called TSJ Consulting. TSJ Consulting was incorporated by Shekhar Shetty, Tomas Caplis, and Jim Wight, three former senior employees of the Al Rushaid Group. The complaint alleges that NOV made payments to TSJ in exchange for purchase orders which were approved by Shetty, Caplis, and Wight.

The fraudulent payments made by NOV were discovered by a Swiss prosecutor who froze the Shetty, Caplis and Wight accounts at Pictet Bank in Geneva. All three former employees were indicted for money laundering in Geneva and are awaiting trial.

Proceedings have also been commenced against Pictet & Cie. in the Supreme Court of the State of New York. Pictet has close ties to New York. Pictet states on its website "Thanks to its business relations in New York and in England and its solid reputation in Bern, the Bank was responsible for negotiating three federal loans in the United States on behalf of the Swiss Confederation between 1915 and 1920"

In its 2010 Annual Report, NOV discloses that the company has received federal grand jury subpoenas and subsequent inquiries from governmental agencies requesting records related to its compliance with export trade laws and regulations. NOV states that it has cooperated fully with agents from the Department of Justice, the Bureau of Industry and Security, the Office of Foreign Assets Control, and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement in responding to the inquiries. NOV further discloses that is has also cooperated with an informal inquiry from the Securities and Exchange Commission in connection with the inquiries previously made by the aforementioned federal agencies. NOV further disclosed that it has conducted its own internal review of this matter. At the conclusion of its internal review in the fourth quarter of 2009, NOV identified possible areas of concern and discussed these areas of concern with the relevant agencies. NOV disclosed that it is currently negotiating a potential resolution with the agencies involved related to these matters. NOV currently anticipates that any administrative fine or penalty agreed to as part of a resolution would be within established accruals, and would not have a material effect on its financial position or results of operations. NOV further states that to the extent a resolution is not negotiated as anticipated, NOV cannot predict the timing or effect that any resulting government actions may have on its financial position or results of operations.

For further information contact:
Chris Lyons
Phone: +1 (305) 379-5554
Email: clyons@llpalaw.com
Global Opportunities in Developing Unconventional Gas Operations http://www.einpresswire.com/article/543567-global-opportunities-in-developing-unconventional-gas-operations http://www.einpresswire.com/article/543567-global-opportunities-in-developing-unconventional-gas-operations Thu, 22 Sep 2011 16:59:32 +0000 *Europe is the world's second-largest natural gas market and demand is continuing to rise, particularly as a preferred fuel for power generation. 'Genesis of the World' appears to be a foundational cornerstone for subsequent Scripture. Indeed, religious symbolism may have dawned in southern France with this six meter mural. The star of this magical scene is a Winged Horse! A Universal Holy Being who symbolizes the spiritual bodies of both God and man. Possibly the first religious artifact (predating Noah's Ark and Ark of the Covenant), details now throughout Traditional Lore and Holy Books…. www.culture.gouv.fr/culture/arcnat/chauvet/en/owpt14.htm

*The Horse Cherub's front hoof (artfully tapered/pointed for emphasis) is shown symbolically striking a mountain- gushing forth a waterfall of Inspired Life/Being/Creation. 28,000 years later, the Bible's Book of Genesis records Adam being made from the earth's clay at basically the same time Pegasus of Greco-Roman Lore was credited with "using its front hooves to strike the ground of the earth and generate the Fountain of the Muses- Inspiring the root of all Creativity." (Origins and Consciousness, Erich Neumann) as reported in God's Steed- Key to World Peace.
*The Creator's Steed multitasks- urinating a white cloud of (most certainly) holy, life sustaining water, while fertilizing and seeding the earth. These streams ("previously unexplained parallel lines under the horse") clearly point back to the Steed's most male parts!
*This inspired Parade of Creation continues with the Mammoth White Elephant- who symbolizes the Universal Monarch for Hindus/Buddhists. Incredibly- the Shaman drew a 'parade dress tassel' that springs forward from the high point of this Majestic Beast's front shoulders- indicating body adornment/jewelry, domestication and celebration! Very impressive.
*Resembling the ancient Tarpan wild horse, this Angel of the Lord demonstrates effort and wide eyed determination- its head is lowered and wing(s) swept back. The thick mane crests and falls to the far side of the neck, allowing full view of that stylized wing. Known by many names: Magic Carpet; Tree of Life; Conductor of Souls; Emblem of Atlantis; Wheel; Throne; Unicorn: Christopher (Christ Bearer); Burak; Kalki; Odin's Steed; Paraclete; Guardian Angel- the Holy Books honor this Living Angelic Creature from Creation to the Story of Judgment Day!
*A huge, snooted, earthbound pig/boar looks on facing/confronting this parade. The pig/boar has dual symbolism. This Adversary/Devil/Sloth of the Earth stands ready to tempt, but known in the Orient for luck, prosperity and fertility- it also welcomes/promotes life. Insightful!
*God's Steed is the Creator's Holy Spirit in this Chauvet masterpiece. Located by design in the Hillaire Chamber- it intentionally overlooks the cave's sinkhole. The Shaman used this site's geography, contours, reliefs and spectacular abyss to 'stage' a most complete creation story. This cave's water path exit and darkness are symbolic of the River Styx and Hades/Hell. A vivid reminder of our body's temporary life- and probably used for ceremonial burial. Wow!
*The Angel of the Lord's presence at this original Story of Creation may help explain Genesis 1:26 from the Bible. "Let us make man in our own image after our likeness." Image/likeness here refers to spiritual being, not the temporary body. Angels indeed predate mankind, attending our Creation. The concepts of Angels; Trinity; The Creator's Holy Spirit and Judgment Day are also shared by the Holy Books! God's Steed- Key to World Peace
*The Angelic Horse/Holy Spirit is truly a Big Wheel, who at times travels in that form- do we see it here? They become other symbols: the Circumpunct; Solar Cross; Hindu Swastika; Tree of Life/Paisley and many Crosses. No lost symbol! God's Steed- Key to World Peace
*The Chauvet Grotto features a Noah's Ark variety of animals- appropriate for the Creation theme! Wooly Rhinoceros is the most numerous, but expected- as the single horn symbolizes eternal salvation by pointing the 'Way to Heaven'. Mentioned in the Bible, the legendary Unicorn was born right here, an inspired variation of God's Steed which honors The Creator. The Lone Centaur poses on a hanging rock- symbolizing ascension/enlightenment, the metaphysical unification of Soul and Spirit. Centaurs are present in all religions today. Inspired art of Divine Creation is on display at Chauvet. Enjoy!

God's Steed- Key to World Peace (C) 2011 Breese/D′Aoust is a unique non-fiction that cites Scripture, lore, science, many witnesses and a plethora of cherubim graphics- all confirming the existence of this fine Angelic Beast. Capex on LNG facilities is expected to total over $93 billion for the 2011-2015 forecast period. Douglas-Westwood (DW), predicts the Pacific basin will be the main contributor to a ten year global LNG investment high of $26 billion per annum by 2015.

According to Lucy Miller, lead author of the report, "Last year saw recovery in LNG demand, led by Asian consumers. China, in particular, has seen its LNG demand grow from 1 bcm in 2006 to around 13 bcm today. LNG imports to Western European and Latin American countries have also increased. In addition, we have the prospect of increased demand for natural gas as the world considers the future of nuclear energy in the aftermath of the Japanese crisis. On the supply side, 2010 saw the commencement of major construction work on new facilities in Australia and Papua New Guinea. Despite lower levels of expenditure on new LNG facilities, resulting from projects being delayed by the recession."

The report examines new prospects for LNG liquefaction and re-gasification terminals and LNG carriers, looks at the technology underlying the LNG business and presents market forecasts for activity in the sector. The market model used to develop the forecasts found in this report is based on a project-by-project review of development prospects, with the timing of expenditure phased to reflect likely project structure. Historic and forecast expenditures are shown in US dollar values from 2006 to 2015, segmented by facility type and region. Expenditure related to LNG liquefaction and re-gasification terminals is further broken down by individual components - including jetty and loading arms, storage tanks, compressors and construction services.

Find more fossil fuel energy market research reports: http://www.giiresearch.com/topics/EN13_en.shtml

About Global Information, Inc. "10.0 To Glory" follows the life and times of Pro-Stock Drag Racing in America from the humble beginnings at Pomona, California in 1951 right through to the current day. It's "the real deal" showing how it was, and is, in the most watched and most dangerous sport in the world!

Writer, director, producer Joe Carlin was about to go head on into his next project when he was invited to The Shakedown at E-Town at Englishtown, New Jersey by an official supporter of his recently released independent feature film "The Tea Man" . Joe had never been to a drag race before and had no idea what to expect. He said "It took about 10 seconds and I was hooked! You have guys in t-shirts and jeans creating more raw power from the start then the guys in suits and ties at NASA can create for the Space Shuttle take off…incredible!"

Given the fact that a 747 Airplane gets off the ground at 160 mph and these cars run over 200 mph in less than 5 seconds, it's a wonder they can stay on the ground. Like with anything Joe gets involved with, he had to know everything about Drag Racing, where it came from, the players, the rules, what makes up a good team and after researching he was astounded to find that in the 60 year history (2011 being the 60th Anniversary year) not one film was dedicated to the story of Pro-Stock Drag Racing in America. He immediately went to work.

"I was in the middle of editing "The Tea Man" when I started piecing together the story. I didn't want it to be a documentary or just another "all grab no feel" race car movie. I needed this to have substance, I needed it to have respect for the sport and most importantly, I needed to show how the sport evolved. Not just the mechanics but the human element, that was the key." Joe said. Here's a short synopsis of the film:

The Garrett Brother Drag Racing Team survives triumph and tragedy and a young Eddie "Raze" Garrett earns his nickname by leveling all his 10.0 Index Racing competition ever since he was 15 years old. Walking away from a horrific accident that left his best friend paralyzed, Eddie vowed never to race again, but a downturn in the economy forces him to reconsider in order to save his home, his family and provide for his special needs child. Can Eddie take his Index Racing Legacy into "The Big Leagues" of Pro-Stock, "The Grand Daddy of 'em all" and earn a World Championship? He has everything to gain and everything to lose.

Once Joe finished the script there were no better critics in the world then the men and women who actually "lived and breathed" the sport. Joe sent it out and waited.
