Concurrent with the license, Amarantus has raised $100,000 from a private, foreign investor introduced to the Company by www.tomorrowsbluechips.com.

The NuroPro Blood Test is Power3's diagnostic platform for the early detection of neurodegenerative diseases. It is being developed as a tool to assist physicians to more accurately diagnose disease and monitor progression. The platform involves monitoring the concentration of 57 protein markers in blood serum identified to be linked to neurodegeneration in order to accurately detect and distinguish between Alzheimer's disease, ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease), and Parkinson's disease. Amarantus' license is focused on the further development of a subset of 21 of these protein markers specifically targeting early diagnosis and ongoing monitoring of Parkinson's disease.
The Parkinson's disease application of the NuroPro Blood Test has completed proof-of-concept and Phase 1 clinical validation studies. Amarantus plans to initiate a Phase 2 clinical validation study in the first half of 2012 that is expected to last approximately six months. Management of the trial will be partnered to Power3 as part of its ongoing strategy to build its Clinical Research Organization business unit.

"The in-license of the NuroPro Blood Test for Parkinson's disease expands our product offering as we strive to become the leader in the evaluation and treatment of Parkinson's disease," said Gerald Commissioning, President and CEO of Amarantus BioSciences. "Now that we will be able to tailor our therapeutic development pathway towards a companion diagnostic product that we control, Amarantus is positioned to build a strategic advantage over competitors as the execution of our clinical and regulatory strategy continues to advance MANF as a disease-modifying treatment for Parkinson's disease. The Company was also recently awarded the composition of matter patent for MANF by the US Patent & Trademark Office, further enhancing our position in the field."
Given the length of time it takes to accurately diagnose Parkinson's disease and the relatively high early misdiagnosis rates, the development of a blood-based biomarker test is likely to generate significant interest among neurologists and primary care physicians as it will allow them to intervene at an earlier stage in disease progression. In addition, the NuroPro Blood test for Parkinson's may generate partnering and revenue opportunities for Amarantus.
The terms of the agreement give Amarantus an exclusive license to develop, manufacture, have manufactured, use, market, sell and import medical devices and methods under the Power3 Parkinson's Disease Intellectual Property (IP). In addition, the license provides Amarantus an exclusive, royalty-free, fully paid-up worldwide license to Power3 know-how, patents and patent applications which relate to medical devices and methods for the treatment of neurodegenerative disease as it relates to Parkinson's disease.

Amarantus paid a $25,000 exclusivity fee in common stock on November 11, 2011 and will issue to Power3 $475,000 worth of common stock. In addition, Amarantus has an option to purchase all of the Parkinson's Disease IP owned by Power3 for $500,000 worth of common stock and maintains a Right of First Refusal to acquire the balance of the NuroPro platform for Alzheimer's, ALS and all other neurodegenerative diseases. The initial term of this License Agreement is for one year and is renewable upon mutual written agreement of the parties.

About MANF (Mesencephalic-Astrocyte-derived Neurotrophic Factor)
MANF (Mesencephalic-Astrocyte-derived Neurotrophic Factor) is a protein that corrects protein misfolding, one of the major causes of apoptosis (cell death). The patent claims allow for a method of treating various types of cancer using an anti-CEACAM6 monoclonal antibody that induces apoptosis in cancer cells.

"We designed a monoclonal antibody that binds to CEACAM protein over-expressed on >95% of pancreatic cancer patients. CEACAM6 is also over-expressed in colon cancers, as well as breast, lung ovarian cancers and certain childhood leukemias." stated Daruka Mahadevan MD, Ph.D., Chief Scientific Officer of TCT. "It is a highly specific monoclonal antibody designed to disrupt CEACAM6 function and was tailored for a superior safety profile. There is an unmet need for effective treatments of pancreatic cancer, as it is uniformly lethal and new treatment paradigms are urgently needed."

The antibody was designed as a humanized anti-CEACAM6 single chain variable fragment (scFv) based on the murine Mab 13-1. PEGylation of the glycine-serine linker was used to enhance plasma half-life. The scFv bound CEACAM6 with high affinity, exhibited cytotoxic activity and induced dose-dependent PARP-cleavage in KRas mutated and wild type pancreatic cancer cell lines. Murine PDA xenograft models treated with low doses of humanized scFv-PEG alone elicited tumor growth inhibition, which was enhanced in combination with gemcitabine. Immunohistochemistry of harvested tumors showed significant apoptosis, with inhibition of angiogenesis and proliferation.

In 2010, there were over 40,000 pancreatic cancer cases, of which there were over 39,300 deaths, providing a dismal prognosis. This is attributable to a lack of early diagnosis and effective treatments. Most patients present with unresectable and/or metastatic pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDA), with a median overall survival of 12 and 6 months respectively.

For more information on Targeted Cancer Therapeutics LLC and its products,
Email info@targetedcancer.com or visit www.targetedcancer.com

About Targeted Cancer Therapeutics (TCT)

Targeted Cancer Therapeutics is a privately held biopharmaceutical company located in California. It's profound symbolism was explained by metaphysical scholars Gerald D'Aoust and Daryl Breese. The Pegasus has always been a symbol of the Holy Spirit, Peace and even Santa's original ride/ sleigh horse. Four angelic encounters led the team to this cave art, now the oldest religious relic which has pushed back the dawn of religion another 15,000 years.
The Pegasus is showcased in two murals. One graphic is the first Story of Creation and the other shows animals disembarking from a vessel which has landed on a mountain. Enjoy the graphics, linked below. Breese has posted all the exhaustive details of interpretation 'on line' for the world to enjoy!
http://www.culture.gouv.fr/culture/arcnat/chauvet/en/owpt14.htm
www.culture.gouv.fr/culture/arcnat/chauvet/en/owpt24.htm
http://www.culture.gouv.fr/culture/arcnat/chauvet/img/fond0421.jpg
D'Aoust and Breese just published the non-fiction "God's Steed- Key to World Peace" (Lulu 2011). The Chauvet Pegasus is featured on the book's cover. Like Tom Hanks in the fictional "Angels and Demons", they are the real life 'symbologists' who have discovered this ancient point from which all religion and philosophy have descended. "Cave of Forgotten Dreams" by Werner Herzog was just released in this year and lets us see this earliest cave art. Some report visions after seeing the movie.
Breese believes the common ground of this new discovery connects all the Holy Books and could spawn greater understanding, tolerance and harmony- possibly leading to a peace accord.

Sir Knight Daryl Breese
Nampa, Idaho USA
calbreese@hotmail.com
(661)703-4444

Lab88's Co-Clean Presents the New Year's Skinny Jeans Challenge http://www.einpresswire.com/article/631442-lab88-s-co-clean-presents-the-new-year-s-skinny-jeans-challenge http://www.einpresswire.com/article/631442-lab88-s-co-clean-presents-the-new-year-s-skinny-jeans-challenge Mon, 12 Dec 2011 09:10:01 +0000 /EINPresswire.com/ Do a Colon Cleanse in December and Get Back Into Skinny Jeans by January with Co-Clean Cleanse and Flush Tablets!

Get back into those designer skinny jeans with Lab88's system detoxifier, Co-Clean Cleanse and Flush tablets.
