Seven More States Ready to Join Fight Against Healthcare
May 12, 2010 - Seven more states Friday will join a Florida lawsuit to try to stop the federal government from requiring citizens to buy health insurance, according to the Washington Post.
The seven new states would bring the number of states taking part in the Florida lawsuit to 20. Thirteen other states are also taking steps to challenge the legality of the federal healthcare mandate, stating that the federal government is infringing on states' rights.
