Report: Fiat to Slash 15% of Its Italian Assembly Line Workforce
According to Italian newspaper La Repubblica, Fiat is expected to announce in its strategic 2010-2014 plan that it will cut up to 5,000 jobs in the country. The company employs 30,000 assembly line workers in Italy and 80,000 people in Italy in total. The carmaker is also expected to trim its car models from 12 to eight.

Honda has received orders for more than 10,000 CR-Z hybrids in Japan, 10 times the company's sales target. The company expects to sell as many as 50,000 units of the sporty hybrid worldwide when the car reaches North America and Europe by mid-2010
