Semiconductor Sales See Growth in January
March 2, 2010 /EIN PRESSWIRE/ After a dreary start to 2009, the worldwide semiconductor industry kicked off 2010 on a positive note with a 47% year-on-year sales increase in January, the Semiconductor Industry Association announced.
In total, January sales of chips amounted to $22.5 billion, up from $15.3 billion in January 2009. Higher demand for PCs, cell phones, cars and industrial applications spurred the sales increase, the Semiconductor Industry Association said.
