Russell Indexes: Consumer Discretionary Sector Contributed to Russell 3000(R), China & Japan Indexes With Returns in Excess of (+8.0%) YTD Through February 6
The Consumer Discretionary sector of the U.S broad-based Russell 3000® Index reflected a return of (+9.0%) year-to-date. Its counterpart within the Russell Japan Index reflected a (+8.4%) return through February 6. And the Consumer Discretionary sector of the Russell China Index has outperformed both its Russell 3000® Index and Russell Japan Index sector counterpart for the same time period, reflecting a return of (+10.9%)
Looking at overall index returns, the Russell China Index (+13.3%) outperformed both the Russell Japan Index (+5.9%) and Russell 3000® Index (+8.0%) for the year-to-date through February 6.
