Fairchild Controls Names Peter J. Borgel as Company's President
Peter J. Borgel has joined Fairchild Controls Corporation as its president, taking the top management position at this EADS North America company that designs, manufactures and repairs environmental, electronic and pneumatic control systems for commercial aircraft and military applications worldwide.
Borgel comes to Fairchild Controls from Pratt & Whitney, bringing nearly 30 years of experience in the engineering and manufacturing disciplines.

"My goals include building on the synergy that comes with being part of the EADS family of companies, seeking new aftermarket repair opportunities with our excellent in-house maintenance and overhaul capabilities, and expanding our market presence in vapor cycle control thermal management systems."
Prior to joining Fairchild Controls, Borgel was Pratt & Whitney's vice president of operations for military programs, with responsibility for ensuring continuity between programs and operations for delivery and cost performance. He previously was general manager for Pratt & Whitney's North Berwick, Maine, operations, which manufactures jet engine parts at a facility with approximately 1,600 employees and one million square feet of floor space.
Other positions held by Borgel at Pratt & Whitney included project engineer for various F100 and liquid rocket programs; engineering manager for turbines at the North Berwick Parts Center; business center manager for rotating parts with the Compression Systems Module Center in Middletown, Conn.; and operations manager for the North Berwick Parts Center.
